    Team Leader

    The Homologous Recombination and Cryopreservation facility provides expertise and assistance in the production of genetically modified mice that represent invaluable tools for the analysis of gene functions, creation of disease models or production of recombinant proteins. We are specialized in the generation of these models either by gene targeting in embryonic stem cells (constructs are prepared on demand and we provide advices to design the best gene targeting strategies) or by injection of the CRISPR/Cas9 systems in zygotes. The facility is committed to produce genetically modified animals for researchers at the Cochin Institute but is also open to external collaborations (academic research laboratories and pharmaceutical companies). In addition, our facility also offers embryo transfer rederivation and long-term preservation of the lineages (embryos or sperm cryopreservation)
