         Our team has long been interested in the regulation in insulin and IGF-1 receptors, as well as in pathologies associated with alterations in their signaling pathways, such as diabetes, obesity and cancer.
    A signaling pathway can generally be described as a dynamic cascade of interactions between proteins.

        We are interested in the regulations induced by post-translational modifications of proteins upon different extra-cellular stimuli. We are studying more specifically the negative regulation of these signaling pathways by protein tyrosine-phosphatases and/or molecular adapters. Besides classical regulations by phosphorylation/dephosphorylation mechanisms, we also study the role of O-GlcNAc glycosylations/deglycosylations, which modulate the activity of proteins according to the nutritional environment of the cell.


        In addition, our team has been one of the pioneer groups involved in the development of the BRET technique (Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer), that allows the dynamic study of protein-protein interactions in real time, in living cells.
