Three teams of the Institut Cochin have obtained the label of the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale.

Three teams of the Institut Cochin have just obtained the prestigious label of the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM).

Guarantee of excellence, the "FRM team" label is awarded for three years and aims to fund innovative work in biology, with a high potential for application in human health.

Congratulations to the three labeled teams for 2020:

Sandrine Bourdoulous: Team Vascular cell biology in infection, inflammation and cancer, for the project entitled “Characterization of key bacterial and cellular factors leading to lethal sepsis and associated vascular
    damages”,

Michaela Fontenay – Didier Bouscary : Team Normal and pathological hematopoiesis, for their project entitiled “RNA regulation by DNA methylation, splicing and P-bodies in normal and pathological hematopoiesis”,

Véronique Witko-Sarsat: Team Neutrophiles and vasculitis. The FRM project will examine new regulatory pathway essential in the control of neutrophil activation and death, both steps requiring a tight tuning to avoid uncontrolled inflammation. The final goal is to propose curative treatments targeting neutrophils which are currently lacking.
