    Research training through research

The Institut Cochin participates in the initial training of many students from the first post-baccalaureate years to the PhD, as well as in the continuing training of technicians, engineers and researchers. It also educates middle school and high school students about the scientific approaches within the framework of the "Apprentits chercheurs " project (see the Animation section).

Each year, around a hundred master, Bac + 2 and Bac + 3 students, are welcomed on internships and supported by research staff in their practical training and the drafting of their reports. Our researchers and engineers participate in the teaching of numerous masters and schools of technicians and engineers. Many are also active in doctoral schools affiliated with the Institut Cochin where more than a hundred PhD students, including many clinicians, are preparing their theses. About 150 researchers have the "Habilitation à diriger la recherche" (HDR).

Our engineers and researchers are also involved in continuing education, via numerous training courses organized in particular by the technological platforms of the institute, intended for our staff and colleagues from outside structures.
