The Institut Cochin welcomes around a hundred doctoral students whom it provides training. In addition to and in collaboration with doctoral schools, the Institut Cochin ensures careful monitoring of the progress of theses through the Follow-up Committee for PhD studies (CSD).

Doctoral students regularly present their work at weekly seminars organized by the scientific departments as well as during the annual PhD days.

Thirty PhD students or so defend their thesis each year.

With the JeCCo young researchers association, the CSD ensures the development of skills and the preparation of the professional future of PhD students as well as their good integration into the Institut Cochin during the 3 to 4 years they will spend there.
