Welcome to Prof. Maria-Teresa Damiani, visiting scientist in Florence Niedergang's team

Prof. Maria-Theresa Damiani is professor at the University of Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, and head of the Biochemistry department. Her laboratory is primarily interested in Chlamydia trachomatis, the most frequent bacterial causative agent of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), a major public health concern worldwide. With Florence Niedergang, she has started to investigate the interplay between HIV-1 and Chlamydial infections.
Prof. Maria-Theresa Damiani will stay at Institut Cochin from September 19 to October 19. She is supported by Université Paris Cité as scientist invited by both Florence Niedergang at Institut Cochin and Thierry Galli at IPNP.

She will give a seminar on Tuesday October 4 at 12:00. Title: New tools to mitigate Chlamydia trachomatis infections.
